We are SO excited to announce the launch of the Sustainable Collection, our first ever swimwear collection that uses an eco-friendly fabric by the name of Amni Soul Eco®. As we continue pushing our brand message of inclusivity and body positivity throughout our collections and marketing, we are proud to introduce our first sustainable swim capsule. This decision to introduce our first ever sustainable fabric came from CEO and Creative Director Francesca Aiello’s love and respect for the environment, the ocean and the outdoors.
Amni Soul Eco technology is part of a new generation of sustainable yarns coming from a process that respects the environment. Caring for Mother Earth is present in the reuse of water used in its manufacturing process and in the overall reuduction of greenhouse gasses. How? The gasses are treated prior to being released, therefor preserving the ozone layer and the environment. Francesca Aiello explains, “From the start of Frankies Bikinis, a pillar of mine has always been to use the best quality fabric on the market that will last far past the first few wears and washes. As my brand and I continue to grow, I have made it a goal of mine to find the highest quality eco-friendly fabric to introduce into my line; one that will maintain the quality standard that we are known for while also being environmentally friendly once discarded”. The fabric is not oxo-biodegradable (meaning it won’t deteriorate after multiple uses or in the presence of oxygen in the environment as some other plastic derived materials will). Also, there are no toxic components in this fabric, it has the Oekotex® certification, and it also has been tested according to the Standard Guide for Conducting Terrestrial Plant Toxicity Tests.
The Sustainable Collection will feature 8 bikini separates, available in a solid black and a black & white houndstooth print. The tops and bottoms range in coverage, and they can all be mixed and matched to achieve the exact pairing you desire.
